  I had never met Jeanne until one day, when I was in my front yard struggling to get a neighbor's 16 year old lab into my van, so that I could take her to the vet. The dog was suffering from heat exhaustion and too weak to stand and/or walk on her own. I had just given her water and food and put cold wet towels on her body for about an hour before I attempted to get the dog into my van. Although I was not strong enough to lift or well alone carry the dog to the van, I was attempting to help the limp, dead weight, suffering dog stand up when Jeanne just happened to drive by. Jeanne was in route to a client's house to take care of their dogs, when she saw me, turned around, and stopped to offer her assistance. Very professionally, Jeanne identified herself, listed her credentials and expertise, and proceeded to explain how to use a blanket or beach towel to create a harness to help lift the dog. This was the perfect solution and it worked amazingly well. The harness helped the dog stand up, and once up, she was able to walk to the van on her own. I was able to get the dog to the vet, she is happy, and doing well today. I attribute this dog's recovery to Jeanne's professional skills, her love of animals, concern for their safety, and most importantly, for her taking time out of her very busy schedule to stop and reach out to a stranger (me)to lend a hand and offer a assistance. So thank you very much Jeanne. I will recommend your services to everyone I know, because I know you will treat your client's animals, just like they were your own! Margaret Volney
